Uzbek Citizens in Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions advised to take precautions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia has issued recommendations for Uzbek citizens residing in the Kursk, Bryansk, and Belgorod regions due to the tense situation in these areas.

In a statement, the diplomatic mission strongly advises Uzbek citizens to take precautionary measures, such as avoiding unnecessary trips outdoors, steering clear of large gatherings, and limiting visits to public places.

Students studying in these regions are recommended by the diplomatic mission to temporarily switch to online learning if such an option is available.

For those in need of consular assistance or advice, the embassy has provided contact details for its consular department in Moscow. Citizens can reach out via the following phone numbers: +7−499−238−36−20, +7−499−230−00−76, or by email at uzkorus@mail.ru.

These recommendations follow the events of 6 August, when Ukrainian forces entered Russia’s Kursk region. Official Kyiv stated that actions on Russian territory are aimed at ensuring Ukraine’s security and emphasized that it does not seek to occupy Russian regions.
