Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ugilkhon Salieva, a citizen of Uzbekistan, has been extradited from Türkiye to her homeland.

According to the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, she is accused of human trafficking.

Investigations revealed that Salieva confiscated the documents of her compatriots and subsequently sold them into sexual slavery.

The General Consulate has urged all Uzbek citizens who have suffered from Salieva’s actions to contact the diplomatic mission or law enforcement authorities.

The consulate also noted that law enforcement agencies in Türkiye and Uzbekistan are continuing joint operations to return individuals evading justice to their home country.
