The event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, corporations and companies of the two countries responsible for such sectors as trade, investment, economy, textiles, mining, information technology, pharmaceuticals, electronics and construction.

The Chinese delegation got acquainted with the privatization process in Uzbekistan, reforms in the country, as well as opportunities in Navoi free industrial-economic zone and Angren special industrial zone, implementation of joint projects, UzA reported.

The participants discussed issues of developing ties in investments, trade, small and private business, light industry, pharmaceuticals, and opening of joint ventures.

Most favored trade regime set between our countries. The volume of bilateral trade in 2011 amounted to US$2.596 billion.

There are 382 joint ventures with participation of Chinese investments, representative offices of 65 Chinese firms and companies operate in Uzbekistan.
