Uzbekistan02/10/2007Uzbek border guards seize nearly 4 kg of heroin from Tajik citizen
When border guards of the National Security Service searched a car with the 30 D 6607 state registration number, which was on its way to neighbouring Kazakhstan, at Tashkent Region’s Gishtkoprik border post, a powder-like substance wrapped in plastic was found under the driver’s seat.
When the substance was analysed, it was established that it was pure heroin weighing about 4 kg. As was established, with the aim of making big money, a Tajik citizen, Firdavs Yoqubov, born in 1980, was attempting to smuggle the drugs of the Afghan origin into Kazakhstan using bypassing routes.
