Uzbek banks increases crediting of real sector of economy by 30.8%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of loans, directed by commercial banks of Uzbekistan to support real sector of economy, made up 31.8 trillion soums in ten months of 2014.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the growth rate made up 24.1% or 7.2 trillion soums compared to the same period of 2013.

Ahadbek Haydarov, deputy chairperson of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, said that at the conference “Actual issues of participation of banking-financial institutes in modernization of enterprises of the real sector of economy” that financing support of enterprises of real economy, ensure their interrupted work and expansion of banking services to them are important issues.

The commercial banks are contributing to development of small and private businesses, as well as creating favourable business environment. As of 1 November 2014, the banks allocated 8 trillion soums to the sector. Main part of the resources was directed to finance projects, included to the programme of social-economic development of the regions and other programmes, approved by the government.

At the conference, the participants considered improving mechanisms of fiscal policy at modernization of enterrises, strengthening investment activities of the commercial banks, attracting foreign investments, etc.
