According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, number of installed POS-terminals exceeded 158,790 units in 2014, which rose by 22.45% year-on-year.
Number of ATMs rose from 1,733 units in the end of 2013 to 1,870 units in the end of 2014, the regulator underlined.
The volume of transactions with the banking cards rose by 39.56% year-on-year in 2014 and made up 22.759 trillion soums.
Largest number of banking cards was issues in Tashkent city (2.964 million), Ferghana region (1.306 million), Kashkadarya region (1.179 million) and Samarkand region (1.094 million).
Tashkent city (32,275), Tashkent region (14,131), Ferghana region (13,994), Samarkand region (13,482) and Kashkadarya region (11,579) were leaders on number of installed POS-terminals.
Tashkent city (797), Ferghana region (153) and Samarkand region (127) were leaders on number of installed ATMs in Uzbekistan.
Tashkent city (5.384 trillion soums), Ferghana region (1.985 trillion soums) and Kashkadarya region (1.899 trillion soums) were in Top-3 on the volume of transactions in 2014.
