The regulator said that over 10.328 million banking cards are owned by individuals, 26,610 – by legal entities and 13,500 – individual entrepreneurs.

Agrobank, National Bank and People’s Bank are leaders on umber of issued banking cards. Agrobank emitted over 2.189 million cards, National Bank – 1.678 million cards and People’s Bank – 1.4 million cards.

Asaka Bank issued 1.098 million banking cards, Ipoteka Bank – 962,857 cards and Uzpromstroybank – 854,964 cards as of 1 August 2013.

The lowest number of banking cards were issued by Samarkand Bank (1,075) and Hi-Tech Bank (5,200), the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, about 2.264 million banking cards were emitted in Tashkent city. Over 982,070 cards were issued in Ferghana region, 947,990 – Kashkadarya region and 784,240 – Samarkand region.

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 August 2013 installed almost 119,850 units of POS-terminals and 1,619 – ATMs and infokiosks.

Agrobank, National Bank and People’s Bank also led on number of installed POS-terminals. Agrobank installed over 18,860 POS-terminals, People’s Bank – 18,410 terminals and National Bank – 13,965 terminals.

Kapitalbank (503 units), National Bank (204 units) and Hamkorbank (200 units) are leading on number of installed ATMs and infokiosks.

Largest number of POS-terminals was installed in Tashkent city (25,370 units), Ferghana region (10,861 units), Tashkent region (10,780 units) and Samarkand region (9,630 units).

Tashkent city (649 units), Ferghana region (143 units) and Samarkand region (122 units) led on number of installed ATMs and infokiosks.
