Athletes were welcomed by their fans, relatives and friends, as well as representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan.

At the ceremony, athletes from Uzbekistan received national robes, which were sewed with golden threads.

Uzbekistan national team was on the 47th place along with Trinidad and Tobago. Uzbek athletes won one gold and three bronze medals.

Some 53 athletes from Uzbekistan participated at the London Olympic Games on 16 sports – rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, cycling, swimming, athletics, weight lifting, canoe, boxing, judo, freestyle and Greek-Roman wrestling, tennis, etc.

Next Olympic Games will be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 2016.
