Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Turkestan Marathon 2022 was held in the Kazakh city of Turkestan. In addition to the hosts of the competition, representatives of Uzbekistan, Australia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, France, Russia, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Spain, Tajikistan, and Hungary took part in them.

In the marathon race among men, our compatriot Bakhtiyor Utkirov won the gold medal. And in women’s competitions, an athlete from Uzbekistan Tamila Kuchkorova won a silver medal. 

In the program of the half marathon at a distance of 21.1 km, another domestic athlete Shokhrukh Davlatov climbed to the second step of the podium.
