Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Asian Youth Taekwondo Championships (WT) have concluded in Kuching, Malaysia, with notable success for the Uzbekistan national team.

Particular attention was drawn to the performance of Omadbek Otabekov, who confidently defeated all his opponents in the under-59 kg category on the second day of competition to claim the gold medal. Following the tournament, he was honored with the title of "Best Athlete of the Championship" among youth participants.

The Uzbekistan youth team finished the championship with three medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Meanwhile, the junior category of the tournament kicked off today, on 27√, also in Malaysia, with Uzbek athletes participating.
