Uzbek Ambassador Meets with Indian Minister of Food Processing Industries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ambassador Sardor Rustambayev, during the "World Food India" exhibition-fair, met with Minister of Food Processing Industries of India Chirag Paswan, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, the minister was thoroughly informed about the potential of Uzbekistan’s food industry, including environmentally friendly, sustainable, and competitive agricultural products, as well as the modern and advanced processing capabilities that have been established. They discussed the prospects of increasing the volume of food exports produced and grown in Uzbekistan to the Indian market.

Minister Chirag Paswan noted that there is significant interest in food and agricultural products from Uzbekistan in India and expressed confidence that they would create strong competition in the local consumer market. He emphasized his support for the further development of cooperation in this area and provided practical suggestions for raising mutual collaboration to a qualitatively new level.

The "World Food India" exhibition-fair, organized by the Ministry of Food Processing of India, aims to strengthen ties between entrepreneurs from India and foreign countries. This year, more than 1,200 companies from nearly 100 countries showcased their products at this international event.
