Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Bakhtiyor Ibragimov met with the Akim (Mayor) of Kazakhstan’s capital, Zhenis Kassymbek, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, the Akim of Astana noted that thanks to the political will of the presidents of both countries, bilateral relations have reached the level of full strategic partnership and alliance. "We must make every effort to implement the agreements reached between the leaders of our countries and all the tasks set before us," emphasized Zhenis Kassymbek.

The parties also discussed the schedule for upcoming bilateral events, including the organization of a working trip for the Akim of Astana to Tashkent and preparations for the participation of the Astana delegation in the Council of Regional Heads of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which will be held in Samarkand, along with a number of other tasks.

In addition, plans for cooperation for 2025 between the Tashkent Khokimiyat (City Administration) and the Astana Akimat were discussed. Special attention was given to signing the "Roadmap" for 2025-2027 and holding the Days of Culture of the city of Astana in the capital of Uzbekistan.
