Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, airlines in Uzbekistan reimbursed passengers a total of 220 million soums for unsatisfactory service, according to the press service of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection.
Over the year, the committee received approximately 240 complaints related to poor passenger service.
"As a result of investigations into these complaints, refunds totaling about 220 million soums were issued to consumers," the statement said.
Among the main concerns were significant flight delays lasting several hours, during which passengers were not provided with rest areas, clean drinking water, or food.
Additionally, some passengers canceled their tickets due to prolonged delays. Following the committee’s review, all affected travelers were fully refunded for their tickets.
