Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzAuto Motors launched to issue contracts for new top versions of Chevrolet Onix Premier. Consumers can sign contracts for new Chevrolet ONIX from 9 January 2023.

Chevrolet Onix combines qualities for the most sophisticated motorists and now it will be available in even more luxurious Premier trim levels.

During the implementation of the project, to launch the production of Chevrolet Onix, new technologies were mastered at Asaka plant - laser and plasma welding, which gives additional hardness to the body, increases the strength of the seams, guarantees high accuracy of welding without deviations and ensures the exclusion of gaps in the back. The high -precision production of ideal proportions provides a laser measurement of the body, which was also introduced in the framework of large -scale work to modernize the production processes of the plant.

In addition, the production of new powerful and economical 3-cylinder turbocharged CSS Prime engines with a volume of 1.2 liters, which will be installed in ONIX was mastered at the Uzauto Motors Powertrain plant. The new engine is made according to modern aluminum technologies, which makes it more productive, durable and lighter in weight. At each assembly stage, the surface of the engine parts is treated with a laser. This avoids the slightest hit of extraneous microparticles into the engine. These engines issuing 132 hp will immediately allow to feel their power and give dynamics to the car.

The engine production line consists of modern equipment from leading manufacturers of France, Germany, China and Korea and robotic by 55%. The technology of hot volumetric stamping is also widely used, which gives a number of advantages to engines, provides strength and accuracy of the shape of parts.

Also, to increase the level of localization, a program is being implemented to launch new factories and introduce new production technologies for the manufacture of plastic fuel tanks, steering wheels, rubber seals, casting parts, hot stamping products and other components.

The implementation of this program and the launch of new manufacturing enterprises will make the release of several models at once based on the GM GEM platform (Global Emerging Markets) and reach the localization level above 60%.
