Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Presidential Decree on "Additional Measures for Further Improvement of the State Control System in the Agro-Industrial Complex" has been adopted.
According to the Decree, the Inspection for Supervision of the Agro-Industrial Complex (UzAgroInspection) has been transferred under the Cabinet of Ministers. In addition, UzAgroInspection has been assigned additional tasks aimed at improving the control system in the agro-industrial sector:
- Monitoring the write-off of natural loss amounts occurring during the reception, storage, and shipment of wheat to buyers.
- Monitoring the certification of quality indicators and classes of wheat in accordance with standard requirements at all stages of reception and sale of wheat from producers.
- Identifying genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the seed and planting material of imported agricultural crops.
- Monitoring the technical condition, operational efficiency, quality of servicing and repair of agricultural, meliorative, and road construction equipment at all enterprises, as well as the conduct of mandatory and periodic testing of agricultural machinery.
- Complete digitization of state control and reporting processes in the agro-industrial complex.
The decree aims to enhance the effectiveness of state control in the agro-industrial sector, improve the quality of agricultural products, and implement modern technologies in management.
