UzACI officials receive delegation of NIIT
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) hosted a meeting with the delegation of NIIT (India) led by its Vice-President Rama Ayer, the press service of the agency said.

The meeting was organized within the implementation of agreements, achieved during the visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to India in May 2011 and the visit of the State Minister of Communication and Information technologies of India Sachin Pilot to Uzbekistan in October 2011.

NIIT has been founded in 1981 and it is among TOP-20 IT companies of India. It provided its services in Northern America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia. The company provides services on training and improving skills of specialists in IT sector, development and support of software, outsourcing services, etc.

During the meeting, the delegation of NIIT familiarized with current state and perspectives of software industry in Uzbekistan, including training of skilled specialists in IT sector.

The sides exchanged opinion on priority direction of cooperation in IT sector, including using advanced Indian technologies and innovation in implementation of projects on development and introduction of software, training specialists, etc.

The delegation of NIIT also visited Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Uzbektelecom joint stock company and others.
