The UzACI webpage reported the sides considered issues related to realization of telecommunication project "Expansion of telecommunication network of Uzbekistan", which JBIC financed.

The project allowed to install 42 digital telephone stations and two automatic telephone stations with the capacity of 42,000 ports. It also helped to install 238 transfer systems and about 3,500 km of optic-fibre cables were laid, etc.

During the meeting, Yamamoto was acquainted with current development of telecommunication and information technologies in the country and plans of their further development.

The website said Yamamoto hailed the work carried out in telecommunication sector in Uzbekistan.

The sides also discussed further development and strengthening of cooperation in telecommunication sector.
