Deputy Prime Minster of Uzbekistan, Director General of the Uzbek Agency of Communication and Informatisation (UzACI) Abdulla Aripov met with the President of the Korea Telecom Mr. Nam Jung Su, UzACI website said.
Korea Telecom was founded in 1982. Today, KT is Korea’s top integrated wired/wireless communications service provider. The Company has helped turn Korea into an IT powerhouse with the world’s leading technology in the operation of broadband service. The Company has fixed-line subscriber base of 21 million local subscribers and 6 million broadband subscribers, making it the largest fixed-line provider in Korea.
Originally, Korea Telecom was founded as a state organization, but in June 2002 the company was fully privatized. It is the company’s goal to become one of the world leaders in the field of telecommunication.
Mr. Nam Jung Su was familiarized with the current condition and potential of the market for information and communication technology and telecommunication services in Uzbekistan.
