UzACI chief holds meeting with ITU official in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Director-general of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) held a meeting with the director of Bureau for Radio Communication of International Telecommunication Union Valeriy Timofeev on 21 June 2010.
Valeriy Timofeev arrived in Tashkent to participate at the regional seminar “Management of use of radiofrequency spectrum and satellite orbit at the international level” for the CIS and Baltic states, which takes place on 21-25 June 2010, the UzACI reported.
During the meeting, the Uzbek side presented information on management of use of radio frequency of spectrum and development of digital television in Uzbekistan.
The sides underlined that demands for radio frequency resources for introduction of new radio technologies is increasing in Uzbekistan. The use of radio frequency promotes development of economy and stimulates the businesses, the sides added.
During the meeting, the sides also shared views on regional seminar. It was said that the event is actual and demanded event, which allows specialists to exchange opinion on wide-range of issues on use of radio frequency spectrum.
