Uz-Daewoo presents low cost Nexia, Matiz in Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uz-Daewoo, official distributor of GM Uzbekistan, will present low cost Nexia and Matiz vehicles in Russia in August. The first party of vehicles was shipped to Russia.
The company said new recommended retail price for Matiz is 179,000 Russian rubles and for Nexia is 229,000 rubles.
Tohir Jalilov, head of Uz-Daewoo, said current economic situations dictate to introduce maximal flexible cost to the budget vehicles.
The company said modified vehicles meet strategy of the Uzbek car maker on promotion of vehicles in the Russian region. It said the sales of the Uzbek cards increased three times in May 2009. Tumen, Krasnodar, Saratov, Nijniy Novgorod, Ufa, Yekaterinburg and Kazan demonstrated strong growth.
