US lawmaker introduces Central Asia Education Enhancement Act
Rep. Joe Pitts, R-Pennsylvania, has introduced the Central Asia Education Enhancement Act of 2007 (H.R. 2869), legislation that would "establish a pilot program of Central Asian scholarships for undergraduate and graduate level public policy internships in the US."
The bill was introduced on June 26. It was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee, US Fed News reported.
