“On behalf of the people of the United States of America, I would like to express my warmest greetings on the occasion of Qurbon-Hayit, one of the most important holy celebrations of the Muslim calendar”, the congratulation message reads.
US envoy said: “Some seven million Muslim Americans will join their religious brethren in Uzbekistan and around the world in celebrating Qurbon-Hayit with special prayers and family gatherings. On the occasion of this holy celebration, I wish you and your family peace, health and prosperity.”
Uzbekistan marks Eid al Adha on Friday, 27 November. In line with the resolution of the Uzbek President, Friday is day-off in the country.
