“On behalf of the American people and the entire staff of the American embassy here in Uzbekistan, I and my colleagues here and their families want to wish all the people and families of Uzbekistan best wishes for the new year,” the US envoy said in his congratulation.

“Although the American people are geographically far away from Uzbekistan, their good will and feelings of friendship for the people of Uzbekistan are strong and close. We who represent the American people here in Uzbekistan are proud of the past achievements in our bilateral relationship, especially as we celebrated twenty years of diplomatic relations between our two countries this year,” he said.

“We are committed to doing everything we can in the coming year to strengthen, widen and deepen the ties between our peoples in all spheres of life – in our economic relations, our people to people and cultural exchanges and in our common efforts to address the many common challenges we face in the region and the world”, US Ambassador stated.

“At this time of the year we all reflect on the past and look forward to the future. We too look forward to a year of prosperity in our own country, in Uzbekistan and around the world. These desires of peace, freedom and prosperity know no borders or nationality but join us all as equal citizens of the world,” George Krol underlined.
