Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on the Uzbek company Uzstanex.

According to data from the US Treasury, this company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of machinery, is accused of supplying equipment from Europe to Russia, using Chinese intermediaries to circumvent sanctions.

It was previously reported that the US has added nearly 400 legal entities and individuals to its sanctions list for assisting Russia in its military actions against Ukraine. Specifically, the State Department imposed restrictions on over 120 individuals and organizations, while the Treasury Department sanctioned more than 270 entities.

Additionally, US sanctions have also affected the Uzbek company THE ELITE INVESTMENT GROUP, which authorities allege supplied dual-use goods to Russia worth approximately US$190,000.
