The University Games-2013 will be held in Bukhara this year and the competitions will kick off on 6 June 2013.

UzA reported that during the occasion, the Parkent College of Transport and Services student Dilyor Dilovarov brought the solar-ray-flamed torch of the Universiade-2013 into the square under the sounds of the state anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Another student of that college, Shahboz Komilov, received the torch and headed for Bukhara.

Ceremonial events are underway in urban and rural areas which the torch of the Universiade-2013 proceeds through. One such event organized in Urtachirchik district has been full of celebrated authors, poets, athletes and art figures.
