The bank said that new appointments are connected with significant dynamics and plans on increasing volume of operations of the bank, expansion of regional presence and business development. It will also strengthen and improve work of all divisions of the bank in line with international standards.

According to the bank, Bakhtiyor Ikramov has been appointed as chairperson of the board of Universalbank.

Bakhtiyor Ikramov has been working in the banking sector since 1998. He started his career at National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) on various positions.

Bakhtiyor Ikramov also worked at Kapitalbank and Hamkorbank. The bank added that the Central Bank of Uzbekistan approved his candidacy.

Mr. Ikaromov will be responsible for general management and development of Universalbank in line with the strategy of the bank, which was approved by shareholders.

Jasylyk Utegenov was appointed as director of department on branch network development. He has been working in banking sector since 1994 and worked at NBU and Hamkorbank. Utegenov will be responsible for development and improving of mini-banks and branches of the bank.
