The 3G network of Unitel, rendering mobile communication services under the Beeline trademark in the territory of Uzbekistan, will provide high data transfer speed and load multimedia content (up to 3.6 Mbit/s), as well as opportunity to make video calls, the statement said.
Dmitriy Pleskonos, Executive Vise President on CIS business development of Vimpelcom, commented that launch of 3G network in Uzbekistan is part of the company’s strategy on development broadband Internet and new products on the bases of modern technologies.
Igor Pilyugin, Director-General of Unitel, said that: “We try to anticipate expectation of our clients and provide services in high standards and ensure confidence of reliability of our services.
He said that now Unitel’s subscribers can assess 3G-based products. He noted that the company plans to launch more 3G-based products in near future.
3G technologies enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephony and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment. Typically, they provide service at 5-10 Mb per second.
