Unitel comments statement of GIS on violations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Unitel LLC, a communication operator in Uzbekistan, commented the statement of the State Inspection on supervision in communication, information and telecommunication technologies of Uzbekistan (GIS) on violations of the operator.

Press Secretary of Unitel Rezida Erdman commented the statement GIS and said that the operator has been developing constructive partnership with the regulator, which helps to development of the company and telecom sector as a whole.

She said that Unitel (Beeline trademark) expresses gratitude for regular monitoring of its work and joint efforts directed at improving quality of services. She added that this helps to eliminate shortages and improve process at the Unitel.

Erdman, commenting GIS statement from 8 June, said that the statement includes several cases, which occurred in last six months. She said that the GIS statement said that the operator used two base stations in Kashkadarya regions before their legalization. She said that due to timely notice of the GIS, the operator obtained all necessary permissions on 20 March. Three line-of-sight channels in Samarkand region were switched off in line with the GIS order from 4 June.

Speaking about accident at Almazar district of Tashkent city on 12 February, which resulted in decreasing quality of voice service from 11:39 to 12:27, she said that the specialists of the company eliminated problem in just 48 minutes. Rezida Erdman said that Beeline is doing its best to avoid such incidents, but the company believes that its workers acted swiftly to solve problem. In international practice, solving such incidents in two hours is good result.

The statement said that number of complaints, sent to the GIS on Beeline, increased in January-May 2015, but the GIS did not disclose absolute number, she said. Rezida Erdman noted that 50 complaints were sent, which is higher compared to previous year, but all of them considered and necessary decisions were appointed. She said that the company pays serious attention to consumer feedbacks and carries out constructive dialogue with each subscriber.

She stated that Unitel invested over US$1 billion into Uzbekistan and plans to increase investments to development of network for benefit of the subscribers. She added that the company hopes for support of the regulator and soon will send official response with detailed action plant of the operator.
