Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International money transfer system UNIStream started to realize programme on significant reduction of tariff rates to direct outbound remittances from majority of the CIS states. The programme is directed at improving affordability and attractiveness of services for clients.

The commission fee on money transfer “CIS partner-bank – own point of system in Russia” set at 1% from remittance sum, while previous similar transfers were charged at the size of 2.1%. Currently, almost all banks in Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan decreased commission fees. UNIStream said it is planning to cut rates in all CIS states.

Suren Ayriyan, director-general of UNIStream, said: “Currently, we pay special attention to increasing customer loyalty. Reduction of tariff rates is our intention to make money transfers affordable for people, not pressure of the market situation. We understand that crisis hit well-being and we will do all possible to minimize expenses of clients on remittances.”

He said the system has necessary opportunities to do this without harm to service quality, including speed and reliability.

Currently, UNIStream holds 30% of the CIS market and has 15,000 service points.
