UNISTREAM offers receivers cards to remittances market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UNISTREAM international money transfer system launched a complex programme on issuing unified clients cards to remittance receivers, the system’s press service said.

The unified cards are novelty in Russian market. Earlier, only senders received cards in Russia. But, due to growing demand for cards and to create maximum comfortable convenience to remittance receivers, the system’s management adopted decision to issue cards to receivers as well.

Currently, the system actively issues unified cards in Russia, Moldavia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Ukraine, Cyprus, the United Kingdom and the UAE.

The system has issued over 10,000 receivers cards during short time since launch of the programme.

As with all unified clients cards, the clients will register receivers cards at any points of UNIStream.

UNISTREAM President Souren Hayriyan said that unified cards minimize remittance sending process. The client gives card and sends money. “At the same time, we want to make process comfortable not only for senders, but also to receivers. Now, receivers can show their card and get their remittance without bureaucratic procedures.”

He said that unified clients cards were successful and popular among clients. He said that almost 700,000 people have UNIStream cards. Share of unified clients cards used in almost 65% of transactions.

In particular, about 83% of transactions are carried out with the cards, 85% in Kyrgyz Republic, 80% in Moldavia, and 54% in the UK.

Souren Hayriyan said that implementation of unified clients cards started in the third quarter of 2010 and the cards are so popular that it is required more cards to points than planned. Hayriyan said that UNIStream unified cards is new step in the money transfer market in Russia and CIS.
