Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, signed a decree titled "On Additional Measures for Improving State Control in the Field of Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety," aimed at enhancing the safety system in these areas.
According to the decree, important tasks for 2025 have been assigned to the Chairman of the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety under the Cabinet of Ministers and its deputies. These tasks include:
1. Revising the requirements for industrial, radiation, and nuclear safety, as well as for the safety of amusement park attractions.
2. Implementing remote monitoring mechanisms to ensure industrial safety.

Additionally, the decree involves the redistribution of control functions within the metallurgy sector. The responsibility for safety control in the metallurgy sector, previously carried out by the Inspection for Mining and Geology, will now be transferred to the Committee on Industrial, Radiation, and Nuclear Safety. As a result, the Bekabad Mining and Technical Inspection, which was part of the Inspection, will be abolished.
As part of the reorganization, new inspections will be established within the Committee:
- Navoi Industrial Safety Inspection
- Almalyk Industrial Safety Inspection
- Bekabad Industrial Safety Inspection
- Railway Industrial Safety Inspection
By the end of 2025, the launch of the "Unified Integrated Ecosystem" information system is planned, which will improve coordination and control in the field of safety.
Furthermore, starting from 1 July 2025, a new procedure for imposing fines on legal entities for violations in the fields of industrial, radiation, and nuclear safety will be introduced.
