Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 January 2025, a new procedure for determining the permitted use of land plots will come into effect in Uzbekistan, along with the introduction of a unified classifier for capital construction objects.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, permitted uses (PU) of land plots will be defined for all categories of land, including those previously allocated and newly allocated.

Capital construction objects are defined as buildings, structures, and unfinished construction projects that are intrinsically linked to the land and cannot be moved without significant damage.

For all land plots within the same territorial zone, adjacent land plots will be considered permitted for the corresponding PU.

 The determination of PUs and the purposes for using capital construction objects will be carried out by district (city) khokimiyats in accordance with urban planning regulations and will be reflected in the State Urban Planning Cadastre.

The document establishes:

- Types of land use and a unified classifier for capital construction objects.

- A procedure for determining the PUs of previously registered land plots.

- Administrative regulations for providing public services related to determining PUs, changing PUs, and obtaining permits for conditionally permitted land use.

These changes aim to:

- Simplify the procedure for determining the permitted use of land plots.

- Ensure transparency and uniformity in the construction and land use sector.

- Create conditions for more efficient use of land resources.
