This photo exhibition was dedicated to the World Population Day 2008 and is also supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Economic Review Magazine and National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of state, non-governmental, youth and international organizations as well as mass media took part in the event that brought together UNFPA partners to reinstate the message of this year’s World Population Day, which is dedicated to family planning.

The ceremony agenda included presentations by UNFPA and its partners as well as reporting on the World Population Day history and events dedicated to this observance conducted in Uzbekistan this year.

Other activities to mark World Population Day in Uzbekistan included development and broadcast of the talk show on family planning issues through NTT Network as well as production and broadcast of 5 specialized radio programmes dedicated to World Population Day theme on Radio "Maxima".
