Unfavorable weather conditions affected Uzbekistan Airways flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10-15 January 2023, abnormal cold weather is expected throughout Uzbekistan, the Center for Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

In this regard, the press service of Uzbekistan Airways warns passengers that the flight schedule may change due to expected severe frosts and weather changes.

In cases of delays in Uzbekistan Airways flights due to reasons depending on the airline (late arrival of the aircraft, malfunction of the aircraft or service equipment), passengers are provided with drinks (cold or hot) both on domestic and international flights while waiting for more than 2 hours. In case of a long delay for the same reasons, international flights will also be provided with hot meals (when waiting for departure from 4 to 6 hours) and a hotel (if the waiting time exceeds 12 hours during the day and 6 hours at night).

On the other hand, regardless of the reason, in cases of delay or cancellation of flights (including due to adverse weather conditions), passengers can return the full cost of tickets at the place of purchase, or are entitled to free rebooking to another date.

In case of landing at an alternate airfield on the territory of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airways will make all necessary efforts to fulfill the Contract of Carriage and deliver passengers to their final destination according to their ticket (including by ground transport).

In case of impossibility of delivery (for example, due to the restriction of passenger traffic through the Kamchik Pass and other reasons), passengers will be compensated for travel expenses in the amount of 25% of the economy class fare on the unfulfilled transportation route. In cases where the boarding terminal is changed in foreign countries, the airline is also responsible for transporting passengers to their destination.

In the event of a change in the time, direction and terminal of boarding, the airline’s contact center sends a message before the passenger arrives at the airport to the contact number and postal address that he leaves when buying a ticket. Dear passengers, when buying a ticket, please leave your personal phone number and email address. This is necessary so that you are quickly informed in the event of a change in flight times.
