Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 43rd session of UNESCO will be held at the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex in Samarkand in 2025.
The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on preparations for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand in 2025.
According to the Resolution, the Session will be held at the Silk Road Samarkand tourist complex.
In preparation for the Session, work will be carried out to preserve cultural heritage sites in Samarkand, and immersive and thematic exhibitions will be organized.
An official application for inclusion in the International Research Center for the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments will also be submitted.
Measures will be taken to include cities of Uzbekistan and natural heritage sites in the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities and Learning Cities, as well as in international lists.
The resolution notes that outreach work will be organized about the importance of holding the Session in Uzbekistan and its role in world politics and global initiatives.
