Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres visited the RiverSide solar photovoltaic power plant in Tashkent region.

He reviewed the changes being implemented in the field of "green" energy in Uzbekistan, the achievements made, and future plans.

The Secretary-General highly praised the efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan to achieve SDG 7, aimed at ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all citizens.

The Saudi Arabian company ACWA POWER is implementing the RIVERSIDE SOLAR project with a capacity of 200 megawatts in Yuqorichirchik district.
