Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The United Nations General Assembly unanimously approved a resolution titled "International Day of Dialogue Among Civilizations." The document was developed by China and Uzbekistan.

More than 80 member countries co-sponsored the resolution, including all Central Asian countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bahrain, Hungary, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, UAE, Pakistan, Russia, and Turkey, representing various regions of the world.

The document conceptually reflects the visions of the leadership of Uzbekistan, as articulated at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (2023) and the Samarkand SCO Summit (2022), emphasizing the necessity of promoting the spirit of solidarity for common security and prosperity, striving for constructive cooperation, and mobilizing the international community's efforts to achieve peace and sustainable prosperity.

According to the resolution, 10 June has been declared the International Day of Dialogue among Civilizations to raise awareness about the value of civilizational diversity and to promote dialogue, mutual respect, and global solidarity.
