Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 February, a meeting of representatives of the regional associations of football and football academies was held at the National Olympic Committee. The event was also attended by the President of the National Olympic Committee and the first vice-president of the Uzbekistan Football Association Umid Akhmatdjanov.

During the event, experts gave a report on the promotion of football in the places. In addition, issues of development of the academies, training of trainers, attracting fans to the stadiums were considered.

Exploring in detail the development of academies, Umid Akhmatdjanov noted that in raising up talented young people we must turn our country into a football factory.

“By raising talented young people, we have to turn Uzbekistan into a football factory. Pupils can be sold, and football academies can not only justify themselves, but also receive income. Together we must develop this system. A separate development plan will be developed for each region,” Umid Akhmatdjanov said.

The head of the NOC also gave relevant instructions on the development of projects for modernizing football academies. According to this, projects for the development of the infrastructure of the academies and the organization of the system of work will be prepared soon.

In addition, issues of attracting fans to the Super League matches, increasing the popularity of football were discussed. Experts shared their opinions and made suggestions on these aspects.
