Umid Akhmatdjanov receives the General Manager of the Asian Karate Federation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Umid Akhmatdjanov met with the General Manager of the Asian Karate Federation Vincent Chen.

The main topic of the dialogue is the holding of the WKF Asian Karate Championship in Uzbekistan. NOC First Vice-President Ahmadjon Rakhimov, Director General of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) Nodirjon Tursunov and Chairman of the National Karate Federation of Uzbekistan Alamjon Mullaev also participated in the sports dialogue.

During the conversation, Umid Akhmatdjanov assured the guest that Uzbekistan was ready to hold the next Asian Championship at a high level.

“First of all, I welcome you on the occasion of your visit to Uzbekistan. I am ready to say with confidence that if the Asian Karate Federation entrusts us with holding the Asian licensing championship, we will hold it at the highest organizational level. Just the other day, our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with good wishes opened the multifunctional palace of Humo Arena. ” We can hold a continental championship there. We are ready to acquaint you with our infrastructure and assure that we are once again ready to host this tournament with dignity,” the head of the NOC said.

The general manager of the Asian Karate Federation, Vincent Chen, noted that he had flown to Tashkent to familiarize himself with the infrastructure and conduct negotiations.

In 2012, Uzbekistan has already hosted the Asian WKF karate championship and we know your capabilities very well. The upcoming Asian Championship is licensed, where trips to the Tokyo Olympics 2020 will be played out and this fact is of great interest. Before holding the continental championship, we plan to organize the Congress of the Asian Karate Federation in Tashkent. I specifically flew to Tashkent to familiarize myself with the infrastructure, study hotels, where guests and sports delegations will be accommodated. I hope that the holding of the Asian Championship in Tashkent will be a big event for Tashkent, said Vincent Chan.

During the talks, it was noted that the Asian licensing championship will take Tashkent and this event will take place in July 2019.
