Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek freestyle wrestler Ulugbek Rashidov won the gold medal at the U17 World Championships in his weight category.

Rashidov demonstrated dominance at every stage of the competition, securing victories over his opponents with a clear advantage. 

In the final match, he achieved an early victory over Iran’s Amirabbas Alizoda, securing the tournament’s highest honor. 

In addition, two more Uzbek athletes competing on the same day still have chances for bronze medals and will continue their battles tomorrow. 

Consolation Matches: 

- In the 51 kg category, Ozodbek Alijonov will face Ashot Gyulnazaryan from Armenia. 

- In the 92 kg category, Asadbek Erkinjonov will compete against Michaeljeet Singh from Canada.
