Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) at its XIII Congress decided to support Ulugbek Inoyatov as a candidate for the presidency of the country. This was announced on the official website of the party.

The congress also approved the party’s program, the main goal of which is the creation of a democratic social state in Uzbekistan, based on the principles of social justice, social equality and democracy. 

The program includes about 100 proposals and initiatives aimed at the development of the country and society. Among them are the improvement of the pension system, digitalization of medical services and other measures.

One of the proposals is the annual rotation of chairmen of regional, district and city courts in order to increase the transparency and independence of the judiciary. It is also planned to introduce the institution of the jury, which will contribute to a more fair trial of criminal cases.
