He said that significant improvement in relations between two states was achieved during the visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to Uzbekistan.

Dikusarov underlined that Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, chairperson of Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Ilgizar Sobirov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov and Minister for Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev.

He said that the sides achieved agreement to strengthen cooperation in such sectors as mining, power industry, machinery production, chemical industry, and agriculture sector.

Aleksander Dikusarov said that the principle agreements were reached on official visit of the leadership of Uzbekistan to Ukraine in 2012 and agreed visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister to Uzbekistab within the intergovernmental joint commission.

He also added that Kostyantyn Gryshchenko handed over invitation to the chairperson of Senate of Uzbekistan to Ukraine with official visit on the behalf of Verhovnaya Rada.
