Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Football Association (UFU) has launched a pre-investigation check on information about possible fixed matches of Lokomotiv Tashkent.
Earlier, the media, citing a letter from the bookmaker, reported on match-fixing in the Super League of Uzbekistan. The letter notes that several Superleague players take part in fixed matches. Among them is the captain of the Tashkent Lokomotiv Kakhi Makharadze.
UFA noted that the Special Inspection Department of UFA had begun a pre-investigation check. UFA is negotiating with international organizations to fully disclose the situation and identify all those responsible.
Additional information about the case will be published after the end of the investigation, the UFA added.
