Ucell net sales hit US$160.6m in 1H 2012

Net sales of Ucell (FE COSCOM Ltd.), a mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan, grew by 15% year-on-year to 936 million Sweden kronor (about US$160.6 million) in the first half of 2012, the Swedish-Finnish telecom operator, TeliaSonera, financial statements said.
TeliaSonera said that net sales in the second quarter of 2012 made up 474 million Sweden kronor (about US$81.328 million), which rose by 14% year-on-year.
Subscribers’ base of Ucell made up 7.767 million as of 1 July 2012 against 7.486 million users in the same period of 2011. Number of pre-paid card users rose from 7.369 million in the first half of 2011 to 7.623 million in the same period of 2012.
According to the company, MOU (average monthly minutes of usage per subscriber) grew from 247 minutes per month in January-June 2011 to 252 minutes per month in the first six months of 2012.
