Ucell chief: No changes expected in mobile market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- There will be no big changes in mobile market of Uzbekistan, Director-General of Ucell, the second largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan, Oguz Memiguven said at the press-conference in Tashkent.

Answering to question on readiness of company to receive several thousand of new users due to problems of other operator MTS Uzbekistan, Memiguven said that he does not want to speculate on the issue.

He said that he can only suppose that there will be no big changes in mobile communication market in Uzbekistan and everyone will continue to work. He added that Ucell respects all its competitors.

As reported earlier, State Communication Inspection of Uzbekistan revealed several violations in the work of mobile communication operator “Uzdunrobita” (MTS Uzbekistan trademark). In particular, the quality of mobile communication services worsened in some places and the operator illegally used 48 basic stations across Uzbekistan.

State Communication Inspection said it ordered Uzdunrobita to stop use of these illegal basic stations from the date of receiving notification. It also said that non-fulfillment of the order will lead to suspension or abolishment of license, issued to Uzdunrobita.
