Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two wind farms with a capacity of 500 MW each are being built in Gijduvan and Peshkun districts of Bukhara region, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.

Once the stations are put into operation, 3.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year will be generated. As a result, the annual savings of natural gas will amount to 1.1 billion cubic meters.

The stations are planned to be launched in 2024.
