Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 January, a tragedy occurred at Kamchik Pass, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident took place at the 141st km of the Tashkent–Andijan–Osh highway on a reserved section of the road intended for special vehicles.
A group of eight people had come to the mountains to go snowboarding.
One of the men decided to take a selfie in a restricted area, but slipped and fell. The second tourist attempted to help him, but both ended up under a snow mass.
Both died at the scene of the incident.
