Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Law enforcement agencies of Bukhara region detained two employees of the regional police department on charges of involvement in drug trafficking.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, on 16 March, operatives conducted a special operation, during which they established the participation of two employees of the Bukhara Regional Internal Affairs Directorate in illegal drug trafficking. They were caught red-handed.

A case has been opened against both offenders under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (illegal sale of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances), and an investigation is currently underway.
