“Turkmenistan is adherent to amity and neighborliness,” the president said at the Friday meeting of the government which discussed programs of the prospective visits.

The visits “are bound to become an important step in the development of inter-state dialog and traditional cooperation in the interests of all regional peoples,” Berdimuhamedov said.

The president said that both visits would have a very busy schedule.

He said he would attend the opening of Turkmenistan’s first exhibition abroad and the new building of the Turkmen embassy in Tashkent during the visit to Uzbekistan.

Earlier reports said that Berdimuhamedov would visit Uzbekistan on 24-25 February. The time of the Iranian visit is yet unknown.
