Turkiye to host “One Heart for Palestine” with the spouses of leaders

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Turkiye’s First Lady Emine Erdoğan tomorrow will host the summit titled “One Heart for Palestine” with the spouses of leaders in Istanbul.

The meeting will show strong solidarity for ending the suffering of civilians in Gaza and finding a resolution to the crisis.

Spouses and special representatives of state leaders from many countries, including Qatar, Malaysia, and Uzbekistan, will convey a message to the world for the innocent people of Gaza.

The deaths of more than 11 thousand people including children and women in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 mobilized the leaders’ spouses led by First Lady Erdoğan and it was decided that the wives of the leaders would come together in Istanbul and give a message to the world for the innocents of Gaza.

Following Emine Erdogan’s opening speech, it is expected that each participating spouse will also deliver a speech.

The meeting to be held tomorrow at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office under the auspices of First Lady Erdoğan.

First Lady Erdoğan led the "Women’s Meeting for Peace in Palestine" in Istanbul on 10 January 2009, when her husband President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was prime minister.

The meeting attended by many spouses of leaders from regional countries was held at a time when Israel’s attacks on Gaza increased and approximately 800 people lost their lives in two weeks. At the meeting, First Lady Erdoğan read the text “Istanbul Call for Support to Gaza” and the text was accepted unanimously by the spouses of the leaders
